Source of the Columbia River Trail

If you're paying through, you must do this easy, level, short trail to the source of the Columbia River. To access the trail, there's a nice gravel road that ends at a large parking lot. The trail is actually an old gravel road so it's wide and I think a stroller would be manageable. About 5 minutes down the path you'll come to a fork, the trail has a loop at the end, so I suggest going right to go directly to the source water. You'll cross a very nice sturdy wooden bridge, stop and admire the views and the crystal clear water. There are numerous benches to relax and enjoy this peaceful start to what will become one of the largest rivers in North America. The vegetation varies widely along the way, from pine forest to wetlands to aquatic, we also heard and saw many different birds. There's even a clean portable toilet in the parking lot. We truly enjoyed this informative and beautiful walk and you will too!

Lovely flat trail with info boards explaining the wetlands, how they were formed, and that they provide the headwaters of the mighty Columbia River. I did not know this!

Amazing little Trail be careful of the coyotes though
