Ghost Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area

Great place for a little family adventure. Not very busy this time of year. Will probably make 5 stars once I am able to get in the water.

A fun place to swim and do watersports. Very family friendly and most dogs were off-leash. The beach area is pebbles instead of sand, which is nice because you don't end up with sand in every orifice. There are outhouse type washrooms and a faucet to wash your hands, but no soap. It's beautiful!

This is a great lakeside recreational and camping area. Usually quite busy on nice summer days but there is lots of parking for almost any day other than some long weekends. There are only pit toilets which is unfortunate. If this area had flush toilets and showers it would be awesome. The highway does divide the recreational area so be aware of this if you are bring kids. Most people stick to one side of the highway as there are boat launches on both. The speed boats can be problematic on busy days if you are trying to paddle.

Great place for boating with very little drive time. Launch is great. Otherwise not a ton to do there.

The new boat launch is so efficient, clean and easy to use! Even with over 300 people there on Saturday using the facilities, it was only a 20 minute wait for a slot to launch. Always recommend a day on Ghost!
