Female manager is horribly be rude upon entry multiple times.

Avoid this pharmacy. Called yesterday afternoon to see if my son’s doctor had sent in his prescription yet. Was told, “nothing yet but we will call you as soon as it’s received and ready for pick-up”. Waited all afternoon & evening. Did not receive a call. Called the pharmacy back this morning and was told, “we received the prescription yesterday but we thought it was sent to us in error so we ignored it” (?!?!) and was advised it would take two hours to fill as they were busy and had flu shots to get done which apparently take precedence over everything else. Drove down there early to wait as my son was in pain and upon arrival, instead of medication, I was offered contradictory excuses/stories, “we didn’t receive the prescription until today”, and then “we tried to reach you yesterday but we didn’t have your phone number so we called the doctor and she wouldn’t give it to us”, (so you did receive the prescription today or yesterday??!) and finally, “the medication is not available in Canada... maybe in the UK, but not Canada”. (???) Incompetent staff at this pharmacy caused my son to suffer needlessly for an extra day. I was able to have the prescription for the so-called ‘unavailable in Canada’ medication miraculously filled elsewhere promptly and without issue.

I've dealt with Pamela in cosmetics on a couple of occasions now. She recommended an amazing nail polish for a wedding I attended that got rave reviews. Pamela was eager to assist me and super friendly. She's a keeper!

Strictly regarding the pharmacy: When we are lucky enough to get the "right" staff behind the counter (e.g. Jan), everything is golden. On the other occasions, not so much. I know multiple prescriptions and supplies are covered by my insurance, yet the one pharmacist/tech refused to believe me - they were even covered before at this location. I had to call my original pharmacist in Edmonton to run a check because I was in disbelief. Even then, when I came back for a refund; she refused to check the DIN that was supposed to be used and I ended up having her call said, knowledgeable, Edmonton pharmacist for her to finally believe me. Another occasion (which is understandable, but nonetheless questionable given the MANY times they and other pharmacists have done it in the past - something I have NEVER encountered) - they tacked on a $20 pharmacist charge to fax a prescription request to my doctor, as my wife is from out of province - citing exactly that - this is the only way to get paid for contacting your doctor since there is no Alberta Health Care. NEVER have seen that in my life, especially with everything going on in the economy and the past precedence set. Very hit and miss on how it will go with the staff. I either walk away when I do not see the right staff; or recently, have shifted most of our prescriptions back to our original location about 25 minutes back in Edmonton.

I feel so uncomfortable from my last visit. That every time I go in they I am always being followed by an employee I am always being followed by an employee Like I’m going to steal something like come on I came in here to pick up a couple thing I need. This is absolutely ridiculous this is the third time this has happened to me in this exact same store. Like The reason why I do not shop at shoppers drug Mart it’s because of this.
