I had an excellent experience with Agassiz Animal Hospital. They are so very caring and compassionate. I recommend that you call them when a need arises. They come to your door, no anxiety for you or your pet. I am ever so grateful. ❤

I cannot state this enough, Dr. Pettis and her team are absolutely amazing. She had been our vet for over 3 years to both our pet pig and our two Irish Wolfhounds. She has consistently made herself available when we need her, she has gone out of her way to incorporate specialists in our animals care when needed- and the prices are amazing! I highly recommend Dr. Pettis :)

I have read some of the reviews and I am surprised by what I read. Every interaction I had with the staff and Dr Pettis, the service has always been professional & friendly. The quotes I received has always been accurate. On Nov 26, 2020, Dr Pettis removed a huge lump off the top of my male dog's head. She did an excellent job! I couldn't be more pleased with the surgery. The quote was over $300 less than quoted because Dr Pettis was able to remove it in half the time quoted. Talk about being honest and having great integrity. They could have charged me with what they quoted and I wouldn't have known. I was quite surprised with the lower amount I paid for the surgery and also impressed with their honesty.

To be fair I could be wrong as I never did see the vet interact with my dog. It was a bit of a rush appointment as he had a bad infected toe, to put it in perspective it was about four or five times its normal size. When I got theremuch to my surprise, I'm not allowed in the building. They took my dog in and then called me an hour later and told me to pick up my dog. This is a bit upsetting as I would have liked to have spoken to the vet myself, that is other than on the phone. I would have liked to have seen her reaction to his toe and I had questions that I couldn't think of an hour later when I'm sitting in my car by myself. The vet only talked to me for a couple minutes about my dog's toe but spent most of the time talking about payment. I wasn't told until that moment that they don't accept cash so I had to go out of my way to deposit the money into a bank account and then do an e-transfer to them which they were not happy about. And they informed me that they would hold the prescription for his infection until I made payment, even though I was standing there with cash. This was not only upsetting and it seemed a bit aggressive.. It put me on the defensive immediately.. I had to drive back to you Sunshine Valley do the bank thing and then go back in to Hope to pick up the prescription which probably was going to be closed by the time I did all this running around.. All because they couldn't take cash. I want to see by the time I got around to doing the e-transfer it was about 8 at night my dog's foot wasn't any better in fact it was worse. 2 days later still no prescription then I find out why... I got notified that the e-transfer did not go thru properly... something happened and it didn't go through.. to be honest I didn't care at this point cuz I went out and got antibiotics from another source. The last thing the vet said to me on the phone was to come back in another week so she can look at his foot again.. Fat chance... for all I know the vet never even laid eyes on my dog.. I don't know cuz I wasn't there. Not a good experience. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth. kind of like they're in it for the money not For the Love of Animals. I won't go back again.
