Great easy, but longer hike. We have taken our kid 2yr and 6yr old a couple times. Nice film hike with a good view and beach at the end.

Great hike to Jug Island. It's pretty easy with up and downhill portions if you hike regularly. Doesn't take too long to complete either.

Nicely maintain trail. It is very nice place to hike. It is still workable for us with minor joint issues, not too harsh.

it's a lovely trail which has beach and island at the end of path. We started at 11am and finished at 2pm. Basically, it's a moderate mode with many up and down on route but only 6km out and back. You also can do kayaking at the beach. Luckily, it's quiet and no bugs today

The Jug island trail is a medium pace 5.5 km on return. For kids and the elderly, make sure you have some kind of stick that you can carry to balance yourselves on the jagged edges of certain rocks as they have massive height differences between them on certain phases of the trail. Wouldn't recommend for people with back/knee problems. There are stairs in between to assist ascending/descending which helps keep the pace up. It takes about a good 20-30 mins to cover the trail one way from the road to the jug island beach. It's steeper on the way to the beach in terms of climbs and easier on the return. Overall a fantastic day trail if one wants to make it. Make sure you have good shoes that grip, a stick for added footing, and the prize awaits at the end of the trail - cold refreshing waters that you can take a dip in on a hot summer day. Enjoy!
