We were dismayed to find that our 10-year-old roof was leaking because of the poor workmanship of the roofers that did the job. We then had to struggle with the choice between either fixing or replacing it. Based on a roofing company’s recommendation, we contacted On Top Inspections and, after Troy's very thorough inspection, detailed report (with pictures), and unbiased recommendations, we knew exactly what needed to happen. We knew we had no choice but to replace the roof and Troy helped us through that whole process – from creating specs and getting quotes to inspecting the work and communicating to the roofers at multiple stages during the replacement. Because of Troy’s service, the whole process was worry & stress-free and we are now 100% confident in our new roof. Troy was extremely professional, prepared, and communicated with us every step of the way. After meeting him, his extensive experience and expertise in the industry will be obvious to you. The high-level of service went beyond our expectations – he even followed up after final inspection and after being paid to make sure everything was perfect. The only regret we have is not using his services years ago for the original roof – it would have saved us a lot of money by not having to replace it a second time. I would never consider doing any more roof work without his involvement. Highly recommend.

We hired Troy to do a final inspection for our new roof. Troy was reliable, professional, and extremely thorough. He found multiple areas of inadequacies, which would have led to severe water damage in our newly renovated home. Troy provided a comprehensive report in a timely manner, and assisted with communications with the contracted Roof company to ensure that the roof was completed properly. He was available to answer our questions, and he was thoughtful about finding cost effective solutions to fix the problem areas. Troy Hovey is a trusted name in our world! Our only regret was not hiring Troy at the very beginning of the project. He can assess your roof, and help find the right contractor for your roofing needs. He does on-site interim inspections, ensuring that the job is completed properly each step of the way, and a final inspection which will give you peace of mind that your roof is complete to industry high quality standards. Certainly worth every dollar spent, as he will save you costs in the end.

Troy was very unprofessional. Not only did he show up over 3 hours late to the inspection, but he also seemed unprepared. He was also extremely overpriced, charged $400 extra beside his basic rate of $350. He also did not even email us our roof report. Would not recommend at all.

Our 36 unit strata complex hired Troy to oversee the roofing of all our units in early 2019. Troy met with our council and gave us advice on what we needed to get a top quality roof installed that would last several decades. Troy did the quote specifications for our complex and gave us a list of highly rated companies that we should have bid on the project. I have to say Troy did an outstanding job on the entire project with providing regular inspections during all stages for each set of buildings and submitting reports with aerial photos and comments on how the project was proceeding. Communication was excellent and he reinspected as required to insure any deficiencies were corrected. His attention to detail was outstanding and we know we have a roof that was installed properly and will last for years to come. Communication was excellent!! When talking to other members of our strata council we all agreed it was money very well spent and we had no idea how complex the entire process would be. We had no idea just what needed to be done to get a new roof installed. The project is complete and highly recommend Troy for anyone contemplating ANY roofing project. Don Hills Vernon BC
