Mosque: U Of M Prayer Room

After joining the university, this has been my go to place for not only prayers, but also for socializing for people from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. It was impressive considering the fact that there are many MSAs throughout Canada, that have small spaces dedicated solely for prayers, however, this place in particular is very spacious and has its own ablution area in comparison to others. The association is not only active in maintaining the premises, but is also active in doing other Islamic, inter-faith and inter-community events. Inaugurated in 2004, the association has come a long way in being more involved in student life and brings fresh changes every year. This is usually done by an executive body that is elected on an yearly basis , along with enthusiastic volunteers and other diverse community groups. I would say having this facility on campus is a big convenience for all the Muslim students who have to pray the congregational Friday prayers as well as the other daily prayers. The people here are very open and welcoming. If anyone wants to come over to inquire about the religion or hang out with people from the faith in general, I would highly recommend.

I used to go there in every week.

All the muslim brothers can come and pray in campus here. Jummah prayers are also held here. Also there is a study room in side if students want they can use it.

Such a perfect place to pray and have Islamic spirituality and meet good friends
