Kanaka Creek Watershed Stewardship Center and Bell-Irving Hatchery

The Bell-Irving Hatchery beside the Kanaka Creek is a nice place. It's easily accessed by wheelchair, on a flat gravel path and about 500 yards from the parking lot. The water shed project is not distinguishable unless you stop and read the signs. It is well-marked and reading the information, tells the story of how the system works, reclaiming cleaner water back into the creek. I didn't take a picture of the Bell-Irving Hatchery sign on the building, because I was more interested in the ponds and tanks.

Quiet since it's not open. Great educational area with lots to see and talk about. Tons of signs around the pond too.

Great hiking place for little ones .

Nice little fish setup for the kids. Not extensive but fun. Good walking trail for family. Stroller friendly if you don't mind carrying it up some stairs.

Signage to help understand how the ladder works would be helpful. The salmon seemed to be stopped by it and then trapped in a cage. To the general public the optics are not in the best of lights.
