Maison de la Coupe (La)

I've been going to this salon for my hair for about three years and I was always satisfied with the service that I received from Melissa who normally cut my hair. However, last month she was away and the owner, Maria, cut my hair. She did a nice job and I told her so as she was cutting it. At the end there was a bit on one side that I kept saying I felt was just a tad too long. She told me that she didn't think it was. The whole exchange was absolutely pleasant (or so I thought) and after she trimmed a tiny bit off that spot I thanked her profusely and told her it was a great haircut. In the past, I had made similar comments to all my hairstylists and they happily did a check, and if one side was longer they would fix it, or they would convince me that it was alright. Today I called back for an appointment. The owner picked up to say Melissa was away. I asked if she would take me. She refused. I simply could not believe what I was hearing. Apparently I had upset her ego to the point where she was willing to give up a loyal customer. To me this behavior is childish and unprofessional. What type of hairstylist would give up a customer whose only crime was to comment that a bit of the hair was uneven? Well, there are many hairdressers out there, and within 10 minutes I found one who did a lovely job on my hair and didn't take it personally when I said my bangs were a bit uneven. She simply and gladly fixed it.

Friendly and efficient
