Helpful and understanding in a weird situation

I highly DO NOT recommend Tim as a lawyer. He needs to focus more on being a lawyer and less on creating web programs.

I've used Brock Law several times and have had nothing but good experiences.

I was born in Alberta and lived there for 40 years and then after a divorce I moved to the southern gulf coast of the U.S.A. And became an American citizen. I have lived in the U.S for 22 years. My youngest of 6 sons is now 33 years old. In the fall of this year while visiting my children and 13 grandchildren I decided to apply for a Canadian passport as I had let my old passport expire over 10 years ago. I had been using my American passport for any out of country travel requirements. I applied for the passport while in Canada, triple checked the application and mailed it while in Canada. About one month upon my return to the U.S. I received a letter from the passport people denying my application because of the Alberta maintenance enforcement program M.E.P. The Alberta Justice Department and M.E.P. Had decided that I was a dead beat dad and that I owed back child support on my 33 year old son along with years of penalties and interest. I tried to contact the M.E.P. To no avail. I had paid all my child support on time and I owed them nothing but I knew I would need Legal help to jump all the hurdles so at this time I googled lawyers and was given 3 different legal firms phone numbers. Well I have to say that I was very lucky to have the name of Brock Law come up and after speaking with Timothy Mallett who impressed me with his professionalism and knowledge I signed up for his services through the Brook Law firm in Edmonton Alberta. Within no time Timothy sent the revised M.E.P. Accounting of my child support statement which had a credit applied to it of $20,112.83 for interest and penalties that had been added to my account. M.E.P. Also sent me a check for $97.78 for some overpayment I had made to them at some time. Timothy was also able to get letters from M.E.P. That state they have removed a hold on my ability to obtain an Alberta drivers license as well as any and all federal licenses that M.E.P. Could prevent me from getting such as my passport. Oh and by the way the passport kept my $235.00 passport app. Fee and will not return it. Sucks to be me I guess. Another surprise was that M.E.P. Was taking money from my CPP and giving it to my EX in other words they were going to penalize me for unpaid child support that I did not owe for the rest of my life and then put a lien on anything I would still owe after I was dead. Well Timothy fixed all of these problems for me and I am all clear with M.E.P. And he did all of this work for me painlessly for $1500.00 CND. Best legal experience I have ever had THANK YOU SO MUCH Timothy. So far the EX has refused to return the money that M.E.P. Stole from me to give to her but this story is not over yet and I'm sure with Timothy's help it will turn out just fine and this may be a rare occasion when the man wins a small victory in the land of divorce. Thanks again Timothy and the Brock Law firm. I will recommend you to my Canadian friends and family for any of their legal requirements. Sorry Timothy but I will not recommend you to my EX. Keep up the good work! Don B. December 24. 2016
