Elk Island Retreat

First impression upon check in with Nathan was fantastic 👌. Rented a Tipi with a private covered cook area with gas BBQ and private outhouses. Our site was very clean and big The cots were very comfortable. The outhouses were clean, fresh, with automatic lights on the inside and a light on the outside, hand sanitizer dispenser 👍.Extremely quiet only heard Coyotes. Lovely peaceful sleep. The super friendly dog that lives there, came to visit us 😁. 100% I will be back and definitely recommend. Thank you Nathan and everyone at Elk Island Retreat for a wonderful experience.

Amazing tenting spots. Clean. Private. Whether you are hard core camper or a glamour camper this is a jewel. The owners go the extra mile to make it perfect. They are problem solvers and so so friendly. Camp security is fun and friendly...just play ball with him.

Our family had a fabulous experience! We booked the tee-pee site for our daughters birthday and it did not disappoint! The cots and mattress pads were super comfortable and the staff were super friendly and so helpful! The outhouse were so clean that my mom changed in it! (How often can you say that about an outhouse?) Our family will be back for sure! Thank you!

We stayed at one of the campground’s Geo Domes in November. The sites were all empty, as one may expect in November, making it the perfect place to be during COVID times. The dome itself was spacious and equipped with everything you’ll need — a fridge, a dish basin and soap, mugs and cups, and even a nespresso machine (pods included!). Accommodations were clean, as were the outhouses and the shower house. Owners of the campground were incredibly helpful and friendly. I’d recommend staying here, I can’t wait to go back!

We stayed at the Elk Island Retreat for our annual camping trip and it was awesome! We initially rented a tent site, which was very spacious and private. On our second night a severe thunderstorm rolled in, it was very windy and a total downpour, we were getting soaked. We checked with the office to see if they had any of their cabins available but they were fully booked. The Lady in the office was so helpful and she let us stay in one of their new Geo Domes, which they were just finishing up the construction on. We were so thankful to have a dry place to stay the night and it saved our trip. I highly recommend staying here and when the Geo Domes are finished and ready for campers we are hoping to be first in line!
