Best Rate Movers was contacted to do a small commercial move. They went out to the site, provided a quote, and accepted the job. They took the job on short notice and with full awareness of a tight timeline. On the day of the move Best Rate was contacted for assurances they were still available and ready to complete the move. They replied affirmatively however when we asked them to provide an invoice to us showing an HST # so we could prepare a payment they called and said their truck had broken down. We thanked them for their call and in lieu of their service submit this review instead. Consumer be aware. This outfit may advertise service for sale, some of it may be good however, our experience with them is a caution to others who may think they are a viable, committed, and trustworthy choice.

My wife and I recently used Best Rate Movers for a move from Victoria to Vancouver. Howie and Colin provided excellent service. Howie was the only mover who was willing to come to my house before the move to provide an estimate. On moving day, he arrived right on time and loaded my large one bedroom apartment in two hours, exactly as he estimated and much faster than I would have been able to do. All of my possessions were treated with care, and at the end of the day, the final cost was the same as the quote. Considering all of this, I highly recommend Best Rate Movers.

The mother of Nick, one of the movers, answers the calls. I wanted a copy of the receipt of payment. She adamantly refused and was extremely rude, hanging up on me. I had paid cash and given more than $100.00 tip for a small move. I also bought them a case of beer. The movers were polite and helpful. When one of their movers showed up for a later move with another co. he was reeking of alcohol and my furniture was severely scratched and a floor lamp damaged beyond repair.
