Since joining Planet Fitness, I have been very impressed with the range of equipment and additional amenities. They have flexible membership options, lots of treadmills and elliptical trainers, many cabled machines, and a decent little free weight section. Unlike its public reputation of being "the gym for non gym-goers", I have found Planet Fitness to have a great range of equipment and lots of open space. The tanning and massage areas included with their premium membership is a nice added touch, especially during the long winter months. While I am not an avid gym rat myself, I have seen several bodybuilders working up a great sweat in the various sections. The point is, you will find this gym to be quite reasonable, and very well priced given the breadth of activities and equipment available.

This past weekend my wife, daughter and I were in the Chilliwack area and decided to pay a visit to the Planet Fitness as we do not have one in our area in Alberta. We were greeted at the door by Karlee who quickly brought us inside, signed us up and did a tour of the gym. Once the tour was complete we were able to go on with our workout. After we were finished our workout Karlee and Ty introduced us to the water massage chairs for another demonstration. The massage chairs were excellent. Highly recommended! The entire Gym Facility was super clean, organized and well lit. The staff was very friendly and eager to answer any questions my family had. Although Planet Fitness does not have any squat racks or bench press with Olympic bars they do have 4 Smith Machines and also have some benches that can be used with dumb bells. A great atmosphere for all gym goers! Will definitely be back when I am back in the area. Great value!!!

They care about being safe in this Covid time- always cleaning machines & making sure everyone is wearing a mask (properly) & keeping the distance 👍 it's a well maintained gym.

Worse gym ever! It’s a year 2020 and I can only cancel membership in person or via mail letter! haha. Modern technology is light years away eh?!

I have never felt more uncomfortable at a gym, I am a long time gym goer and could not go to my old gym because I could no longer afford it but I wish that I spent the money and stayed there. The staff is incredibly rude and the manager is even ruder. I made a complaint about the staff and the manager told me that if I didn't like it that I should go somewhere else and that this gym wasn't for me and then laughed. Super unpleasant people and environment, I had a membership there for almost a year and never felt comfortable there. Staff would be rude or completely forget about you while you stood there in front of them, waiting for the amenities to free up (they would say it will be done in 2 minutes and then talk with other staff while you wait for 10 until you remind them and they suddenly remember they have a job to do). There are a couple of staff members that were great but the majority sucked. I'm going back to my old gym, I don't care if I have to pay more, it's not worth it to be treated like that. If staff read this, save your breath trying to reply and saying "we are so sorry you feel that way" because you're not. Get bent.
