I have done 30 Pilates classes with Sasha so far, both in her lovely studio and virtually due to the COVID pandemic. I’m in my 50s and had never done Pilates before. Sasha is so calm and patient, yet makes the classes fun. Even though you are getting a great work out, time flies by! Sasha is highly knowledgeable about the mechanics of the human body, and frequently provides tips about how to move the body the way it’s intended to be moved during certain Pilates exercises. She is present and very observant about micromovements you are making, and her suggestions always work even better! You feel it in your body right away. Because Sasha is so observant, she is able to work with students at various levels of ability at the same time, keeping track of whose doing what and offering modifications to increase or decrease the difficulty level of an exercise according to each student’s needs. I feel more energized, limber, centered, and upbeat after a class. It’s the highlight of my week!

I got to know Sasha through private lessons. It was my first time venturing into any type of organized exercise class after two significant injuries that limited my activity, and I was full of timidity and insecurities. Sasha was absolutely wonderful, skilled with putting me immediately at ease and fostering trust. My lessons with her became my favorite part of the week, and I watched myself slowly gain strength and confidence. If I struggled to understand something or get my mind-body connection to cooperate, she was super skillful in rephrasing what was needed so I could understand and do the moves. She is kind, compassionate, joyful, skilled, and makes her clients feel safe and comfortable. She also has this amazing ability to know when to offer more challenges and is always super encouraging. I highly recommend taking Pilates lesson from Sasha!

Sasha is a very knowledgeable and helpful instructor. Her classes are challenging, but not overwhelming. She guides you with safety tips and pointers so you have the most effective workout all while having fun. I really enjoyed the time I spent at her classes.
