Two Small Men with Big Hearts

Awful experience. They were an hour late outside of the window we were given (said they'd show up between 9-10 and they arrived at 11am). We were told two people would show up, three showed up and told us we have to more hourly for the third person (didn't give us a choice or heads up). This would all be forgivable but the absolute worst part was the professionalism. They showed up without any sign of being part of the company (no shirts, truck wasn't branded). They acted as if they had no idea we were in a global pandemic. They did not wear masks (which I am understanding of since they are working hard to move things) but they made no effort to stay 6 feet away. They were constantly hovering around us and even went as far interacting up close with my child when I wasn't looking. It was extremely uncomfortable. THEN they saw liquor while they were moving and ASKED for a beer! Finally, after setting in to our home we've realized most of our furniture has been damaged. A dresser was dropped and chipped. A drawer set was dropped and chipped and scratched. Lamp shades were completely crushed. A cabinet legs were broken off. A box of glasses completely shattered. Multiple other kitchen items in our boxes were cracked and broken. We didn't trust them with our TVs and moved them ourselves when we saw how rough they were. WORST experience. I am still extremely mad at how careless they were. Would not ever recommend.

I highly recommend this company from start to finish!! I had a fast and chaotic move and the whole company was amazing!!!! From my booking with Jay to my two movers Eldon and Dave. I’m seriously so beyond grateful. My move also involved overnight storage and a ferry to Vancouver island to my storage unit!!! These guys are the BEST!!

My experience with Two Small Men with Big Hearts was great! They were on time and went to work right away! They made sure to protect my furniture and were very careful not to damage anything. They were very polite and made sure to ask where I wanted things placed when we got to my new home. I would use their services again for my next move.

Terrible, horrible will never use again!!!! They were 4 hours late called me 40 minutes after the final arrival window to tell me they didn’t have drivers and aren’t sure when. I was called another 1.5 hours later to tell me they found someone but aren’t sure what time, someone would call me. I called back at 12:30 to find out when my truck would come told I’d get a call. I got a call at 1:15 telling me they’re there. 15 minutes after my final move out time. I was told by the workers how overbooked and overworked they all were. I was told continuously by one mover that his friends move was bumped to later because of me. He complained about it for 5 hours. Telling my parents, neighbours and random people about this. As well as phoning, receiving calls, messages from the disgruntled mover to his friends constantly. He was in such a rush. He was far too forceful with my belongings. Causing damage to 2 antique pieces of furniture, a dresser and a dining room cabinet, both well over a hundred years old. As well as half the boxes had big holes and tears in them when they arrived. There’s small dents and scratches in most things moved. Another cabinet, 2 pieces, they took apart and then crushed one of the dowlings to hold them together. My Dad had to fix it, to get it back together. As well I helped move stuff, and so did my Mom n Dad to help them be done quicker to get to their next job. I will never again depend on thus misrepresented company for my moving needs. I will find another company for my next move. I recommend you do the same. The fact that they have a National name known across Canada does NOT make them good movers, it makes them great advertisers!!!! I was overcharged, my move was extended late, my stuff damaged and I was left with a huge bill, more than quoted. No discounts offered after all their mistakes. And when I phoned the dispatcher was understanding. The lady, Ali, whom deals with the problems, just wished me all the best. Pathetic, useless and just looking to take advantage of people. Be warned public!

Worst experience I’ve ever had with movers. The worst moving company. I do not recommend anybody use their service. First thing one of the movers did before starting to work was ask to use the washroom, but then I realize he’s taking a stinky number 2 in my washroom. They wasted time talking, they didn’t have the proper tools and were ill prepared to complete the move. The movers also offered to make side deals for cash under the table which showed their employees integrity. While on the clock they took smoke breaks which breezed into our new home where my 2 yr old could inhale the fumes. They packed the truck completely disorganized which had me worried about my possessions. Then oh wait what a surprise they cracked my 75 inch tv and their basic insurance only pays $60. When the movers are leaving, the same guy asks to use my new unused bathroom but this time my wife said hell no. They stacked boxes clearly labeled don’t stack and they moved our fragile glass wear with little care. Then they forgot to unpack a cushion for our love seat and they didn’t return it for several days but when we do get it back it stinks like smoke so bad that its has to be replaced (yes that bad). I am not pleased to share our horrible experience with Two Small Men With Big Hearts Movers but I can’t let you have the same thing happen to you. They exercised zero duty of care and barely any accountability for the damage that they caused. They will put any mistakes they make on you and tell you to use your home insurance which will up your premiums. Needless to say I do not recommend anybody use this service but if you do buyers beware of this untrustworthy company.
