We stopped at Smithers Rail Station during our VIA Rail trip to Prince Rupert in July 2019. It is about midway between Prince George and Prince Rupert in northern British Columbia, Canada. The station was designated as a national heritage railway station in 1990. As the train stopped for some time we had a chance to alight and explore a while.
