Spoiler alert: I highly recommend Forte! I started going to physio at Forte (with Erik) after ACL surgery from a soccer injury and would not be as far along in my recovery without him. Erik is extremely knowledgeable and you can tell how much he cares about your recovery, with a goal of getting you back to your sport and regular activities. I fully attribute my recovery to Erik pushing me and holding me accountable. I really liked having a sport specific focus to my recovery too. A huge benefit of going to Forte is the equipment/set up they have that allows you to do full workouts with their supervision, I haven't seen that at any other physio.

I am 69 years old and thought all my aches, pain and muscle cramping were an inevitable part of aging. My son suggested that I get an assessment from Forte. Eric Merchant set me up on a guided total body strengthening program. It is six weeks later and I am a new man. All my pains have gone away and, most importantly I can keep up with my 4 and a half year old grandson. It has been a godsend!!

Erik has helped me preventatively get out in front of some hip and glute pain while running, and more recently with a sprained ankle. He has an easy going approach but is very knowledgeable and up-to-date one current methods/research. 10/10 would recommend!

Drew was incredible in treating a sports injury suffered by my son. Drew helped him return to play safely and faster than I ever would have though possible.

I've been seeing Drew at Forte periodically over the last two years for back and knee injuries. The knowledge and care he provided was instrumental to my recovery and got me back to my full functional capacity quickly, but more importantly with the tools to prevent further injuries down the line. If that's not enough, Drew is a stand up guy, and one of the most down to earth people I have ever met. He genuinely cares about the health of those he works with and is committed to personalizing the recovery and treatment of every patient that comes through Forte. You won't find better care anywhere else in Nova Scotia.
