Anna has now been our real estate lawyer for two sales, a purchase with a new mortgage, as well as a title transfer. With each transaction, Anna consistently provided clear and professional legal service. Having our deals handled so smoothly and confidently provided great peace of mind for our family during what could have been a stressful time. We have used Anna for all our real estate transfers to date and look forward to working with her on all our future deals.

I've worked with Anna Alcock-White and listened to her seminars on Wills and Estates. Anna is very educated, well spoken, and a breadth of knowledge on the topic. I'd highly recommend her on anyone seeking legal advice on end of life planning.

Anna at John Hossack and Associates has been a pleasure to deal with. She is very approachable and takes the time to simplify complicated terms. She is very open about the stages of buying a home when it comes to a legal perspective. I am grateful that Anna has been there to support me and I look forward to working with her again in the future.

I Used to think this lawyer was competent. My parents trusted him for at least 20-30 years. We made an appointment to pick up copies of documents that were missing from my moms locked file cabinet. When we get there, we again tell them we just want copies. We didnt know if something was changed. IT was odd all copies were missing. Mom couldnt remember as she is recovering from an injury. My parents had always insisted on both children as POA and as executor with this same lawyer. We were all in shock ( my Dr. husband too) that there is a POA change a year old, allowing 1 child only full and immediate POA on everything, health, money, titles. It even says the poa can put her in a nursing home if she objects. My mom has insisted all her life she wants to stay in her home when she is older. How did that get in there?. My mother Immediately said "I want to change that. " My husband and I are asked to leave the room despite my mothers repeat objections so she could be asked some questions privately. We had forgotten to mention Mom's hearing problem and she wasn't asked. When both we and Mom asked how this had happened both the young girl became defensive. She had very inadequate notes. The girl acted angry when I told her I would put out a review regarding this negligence and she got up from behind her desk and escorted me from her office. Then, again defensivly, they decided I must be putting pressure on my mom. (We all found out at the same time and In front of the lawyer! They were very rude ,even to the point of suddenly saying to my face that because I was upset (to find our family's trust had been violated, ) it was me they didnt trust!. Nice try! What a fiasco. We never thought this would happen to our family. What 87 year old would or even can read everything in a lawyers office especially when she didn't come in for major POA changes? She had a false sense of security with this lawyer of 20+ years. Think what you want, but find maybe a more careful lawyer if you dont want a mess like this. I think the associate was probably too inexperienced to be handling this for Mom both recently and a year ago. Now Mom has this worry to deal with! Who needs any of these problems when dealing with estate business?.
