Lidya's Hair Design Ltd

So, the first time I went in, Modgan did my blonde roots and toned. I had a great experience with her. I tried to book with her again recently and Lidya told me Modgan was off for a few days. So, I requested to book with Lidya. The day of my appointment, Lidya calls me and asks me to come an hour later, so I do. When I get there, she hands me off to her other stylist Larry and tries to tell me he's the best in Vancouver. I already thought it was highly unprofessional that I booked with her and with no explaination, she just hands me off to him. I had my roots highlighted, but the highlights weren't put closely enough together, and areas around my face were missed and are super obvious when I put my hair up. I also didn't like how he cut my bangs at all. I told him it will be easier to cut more precisely when my bands were straightened as I have natural waves. But, his next client walked in and he was in a hurry. He also used shears.. I hate shears being used on my bangs. I had to go elsewhere to have my bangs fixed. She charged me $200 before tip (because that's what Modgan charged last time). However, this time I didn't even require toner.Why should I be paying the same? I had to leave quickly after having my hair done because I had somewhere to be that evening and my appointment was already started an hour later. But, I'm hoping something can be done to rectify this. I tried to call today but they are closed and there is no option to leave a message, and no way to contact them through their website. I honestly feel like I was ripped off and am super unhappy. The only way I'd ever come back is if something is done to make amends for this awful experience.

Good service, cool hair cut.

I normally don't leave reviews and although Stella gave me a decent haircut - she's didn't listen to what I had requested and my experience at her salon was unprofessional. I went in wanting only 2 inches to be cut off my hair (my hair was past my bust) and I walked out with shoulder length hair and choppy layers. And that wasn't even the worst part of the experience. Stella took photos of my hair without my consent and posted them on her Instagram! She started off our appointment commenting on my eyebrows and tried to convince me to let her do them (I was there for a haircut). It's is safe to say I will not be returning or recommending her salon. She was a sweet lady at first, but I left her salon upset and humiliated. Definitely not worth the $47 I spent on my hair.

Tips: show your desired cut with some pictures, and talk to the hairdresser about your concerns. They will do the rest. Not every hairdressers can handle my hair, I'm satisfied with my new cut. Very professional and friendly people. Thanks to Lydia!

I am giving this salon a 12 out of 10. I am a very satisfied customer. Excellent service for a walk in client like me. I love how Stella did my Ombre hair color. They took extra care of my super dye resistant hair. I am definitely coming back ❤️ The price was reasonable and they gave me a cup of coffee even offered for a refill ☕.
