It was top notch the service was very professional, proficient, effective and efficient. Corona virus protocols are in place for the safety of the general public and are followed and met in a professional and safe manner. The one thing I loved and appreciated was the timely manner in which everything was executed. To the service representatives keep up the good work and god bless.
Excellent experience with TT passport renewal. Timely updates when we reached out via email. Friendly, well informed staff on a call and generally a quick turnaround from Calgary-Toronto-Trinidad and returned straight here via Fed-Ex. Thank you- the Franks.
Completely inconvenient crossing from parking to consulate. Especially for seniors and children with no lights or crosswalk. No lobby to wait before opening hours if it's raining or cold out. Showing up for appointments booked way in advance, by taking a day off from work, and calling the day before to confirm that the appointment is still on knowing that weather might be an issue, coming in from another city doesn't even matter to them. The person/staff supposed to be there to deal with your passport application isn't even there and all they can say and do is rebook your appointment...this embassy needs more staff and less excuses...this Canada...it snows. Show up because we have no where else to go to get Trinidad document issues dealt with. 5 folks booked for 9am and no one could be looked after Trinidad and Tobago should fix this.
I have given this review a 5-star because I called two days in a row and I find the staff to be very helpful. They were actually very nice on the phone. My husband and I have an appt in June for passport renewal and I called back today to find out if our appt can be moved up to a closer date in case there is a cancellation. The lady said it can't happen because some people don't show up for their appt and they don't call to cancel. Well that's terrible. Some people complain about the Trinidad Consulate and how it's lacking so much but if they don't call to cancel an appt then they shouldn't complain. I suggested to the lady that they should impose a fee for not showing up when these same people do have an interview. They should be tracked somehow. You will see how things will get in order. Right now they are too easy on us. I'll review again after my appt.
SEVEN MONTHS LATER......I'll give it a 4-Star
This is a follow-up from my last review. My husband and I had been to our appointment last week and all went very well. Compared to being in Trinidad, credit should be given to this office which is nicely kept. We find the staff to be quite helpful although I know sometimes better can be done to improve. No one was rude to us like I have read in some of the other reviews. We had our meeting with Blake, and he was exceptionally helpful with our first MRP passport process. He went above and beyond to get our documents in order for processing. We thought we had all in order but fell short of one piece of document, but Blake helped us out instead of declining our application. Regarding Covid-19, all protocols were in place, except if you wanted to use a washroom, there is none available to the public (-: but I hope that will change over the winter season. The photo room and staff were meticulous with doing their jobs. Being humble and keeping a good attitude is the key because you want something, they don’t. One other problem visiting the office is parking. No parking is available in the building compound. But we found parking at a Green P hourly metre parking lot at 68 Sheppard Ave W. It’s about $6 for two hours, and you can use a credit card. It’s about a five-minute walk to the office.
The worst experience ever. The receptionist does her job, but needs to be more informed in her role. Very rude Interviewer. You guys need to provide a more professional atmosphere. warm welcoming friendly, our culture has thought us to be courteous and respectful.
I received excellent service at the Consulate General of Trinidad and Tobago today. 1/16/2019.The staff were very helpful and patient. Very professional Interviewer. 5 stars..
