I was gifted a prepaid activity coupon via La Forfaiterie. It's nicely packaged BUT it proved to be a nightmare to use. First of all, you cannot go directly to the activity and use this coupon. You have to register it on Forfaiterie website and then, they are supposed to send (via snail-mail!) you smth that can be used at the place of the activity. In the email they said that it will take up to 7 business days to receive it, It has been 3 weeks. I ended up paying for the activity out of my pocket, because it took a lot of efforts to get a group together and my coupon was still not received. Spare you friend/loved one the hassle and just pay for the activity or see if the place offers gift certificates without the 3rd party. When I contacted the Customer Service, I kept being transferred to a voicemail, and the call back took a long time.

I bought a package for a good Montreal restaurant that included a 5-course dinner and tip. Six months later, I go to the restaurant and the 5-course menu does not exist. The manager of the restaurant comes to see us and tells me that it's been years that this menu no longer exists, that it's been 7 years they no longer do business with La Forfaiterie and we are the fourth customers to come to the restaurant with this coupon in the last month. Instead of our 5-course dinner with a tip that was necessarily worth more than the one we paid, La Forfaiterie's customer service wants to offer us a credit score equal to the value paid for the package, even though I I am able to demonstrate that the said menu did not exist at the time of the initial sale. They do not want to reimburse the cost of the meal that comes closest to what was described on the package or even refund the package. A good example of false representation, to avoid.

No added value !!!! You may even find that the service / package is more expensive when compared to the regular price, since La Forfaiterie charges you with service fees and does not give you discounts (like Tuango / Groupon - forget that). It is better to buy a normal gift card than to go through a third party like La Forfaitrie. This for me is a scam ... I never want to receive a gift certificate from them again !!! Otherwise the employees are nice.
