Leonard's Painting

Leonard was referred to us by a friend who had in turn been referred to him by a friend. Bottom line: he did excellent work at a very reasonable price. Leonard painted the interior ( a walk-out bungalow, upstairs & downstairs) of our house in mid July, 2016. Right from our first meeting when he came to do the estimate Leonard was courteous, professional, open to discussing any questions we had, and would politely offer suggestions based on his years of experience. We had other companies give estimates but felt that Leonard's quote was very reasonable. Based on other's referrals and our meeting with Leonard we felt confident that he would provide a quality paint job. Upon choosing Leonard he gave us clear and reasonable instructions for how we were to ready the spaces for painting. Leonard always arrived prepared and on time. I appreciated that he was a thorough, organized and tidy worker. He amazed me at how quickly he could work without compromising quality. I am somewhat guarded about having strangers in my home but I felt absolutely comfortable leaving my house to go do errands while Leonard was working. He was friendly to talk to and I enjoyed our conversations- one of which led Leonard to recommending a friend of his to do a ceramic tile job for us, who, we ended up hiring! We would hire him again and are confident referring Leonard's Painting to those looking for excellent work at a very reasonable price!

I found Leonard on Google search. Leonard painted the interior of our house in March, 2017. I'm a contractor and I know a good paint job from a bad one... Leonard did a very poor job. Initially painted the entire project with the wrong colors. Did not fill any holes/imperfections in walls. Did not sand door trim joints and many filled nail holes. Did only one coat in office... old color was still visible. All cut lines where two different colors met were very noticeably crooked. Worst of all, he did not finish the job. He tried to get all of the payment before I even had a chance to look at his work continually insisting "its fine". When he came back to do the deficiencies and saw the huge list, he left the site and I never saw him again. Maybe if I'd held back more than $400, he would have stayed. It took me two days and $1000 to fix his work.

Leonard is correct and punctual. He is an artist not just a painter. He is the most hardworking person i have ever known. I suggest Leonard painting to everyone who want a painter or decorator.
