When I lived downtown, I would visit here weekly. Now that we moved to the burbs, my visits have become less frequent. This place is full of character, and charm. Their prices on deli meat and cheese is very fair. Their prices on everything are actually really good. They can’t seem to stock provolone cheese, but there are many other options available. The aisles are small, but packed to the nines. The guys who work there are friendly and the location is pretty central and decent! A must visit!

Amazingly helpful staff. Very fair prices. Unique items. Fava beans. Open until 11 pm every day. Five stars for sure. Highly recommended.

I love this store with their seasoned or stuffed olives, multiple styles and sources of Feta cheese, regular or flavoured Halvah, and a small but excellent collection of vegetables essential for Mediterranean or Greek salad - Tomatoes, small cucumbers, and crisp green peppers. Simple, efficient, one-stop shop. A great neighbourhood favourite destination. Highly recommended! For awareness - the aisles are relatively narrow compared to big box stores but this is to be expected in a neighbourhood family-owned store - if you are a claustrophobe it may be challenging. I am glad to support a small local business Kalamata Grocery Store in Beltline Calgary! How neighbourhood walking and shopping should be!

This shop has heart and soul unlike any other, I ll be frank - no wonder it has been around for years! Recently I went shopping there for my Nana and the pasta dish I cooked for here was all assembled using the best ingredients and Mediterranean delights, all for under $10. They also have fresh cheeses, cold meats, and pitted olives. Furthermore the store is cramped but stocked to the ceiling with the finest spices, Greek mountain tea, nuts, juices, coffee , bread and jams +++. Friendly and prompt service is their standard, I very much appreciate their knowledge on food stuffs and brands they carry. Truly an Old World treasure: best combination of quality, service and price. Thank you ♡
