Good selection resonable prices. Fresh produce. Excellent meats. During our 14 day isolation they would shop for us and deliver the groceries for $15. Great deal for shut ins and those that do not have time.

The Bownesian is a rare find in Calgary. In a time where local family owned grocers are obsolete, this fine gem is the heart of Bowness, Calgary. It offers local delicacies from all over Calgary and provides a support network for the community that you won’t see anywhere else. From a free food pantry to supporting local businesses and community members this grocer is a local super hero. A great place for local homemade food or my personal favourite is exploring what specialty cheeses, pates and meat get brought into their fresh deli! Not to mention they stock the best local ice cream from Mackay’s and Abbey’s !! Oh and they have a new health centre aisle with an on-site nutritionist that provides free tips and tricks on a healthier living !!

Adorably quaint local grocery store that's great for the essentials. The in store baked goods ie cheese buns are fantastic here :)

It is a very nice median size store. Very friendly staff. I only rate it 2 stars because of the CO-OP brand. Just to expensive for people on a fixed income. I live 2 blocks away and drive right by it and go elsewhere. If you don't mind paying extra it is a nice little community store.
