9907 106 Street - Lot #389

Card reader did not work. I tried 3 different cards and none of them worked. Ended up having to drive to grab change to be able to park there. The lot was empty on the weekend which was nice. Hopefully they can fix the machine or have it work consistently.

There seems to be a problem with reading cards on their machines. Once again I was unable to pay at either machine. Called and the nice lady told me I could then pay by phone as I'm now going to be late for an appointment I arrived 25 min early for. Ridiculous. This happened this summer too. Nice Lady has no power to even say that I won't get a ticket. I went to the second machine but another customer was there and had tried that machine 3 or 4 times. Not working. I said absolutely not ok. I was there willing to pay but their machines dont work. So my 6.00 park ends up being 75.00. Good for them. Not so good for me. Lady tells me if I get a ticket I can contest it. I already froze myself and my hands are aching like mad as I'm heading to the dentist. I'm late and I made a great effort to pay. I don't even know how that phone pay works nor am I comfortable doing that. She said if I get a ticket there will be a note On the file there saying I tried to pay. Basically telling me I might have to fight it. All I can say is I better not see any ticket. There should not be any reason that a customer can't pay at their machines. Either man it and pay someone more out of profits or do not have these machines that work inconsistently. Then come ticket people when they don't have time to waste 20 minutes in the cold like I did today. Ruined my next appointment because I have a medical condition that standing outside didn't help. This kind of thing is upsetting and not necessary. Update March 2019. I got a ticket.This seems like an unfair business practice to me.
