Kim's Shoe & Bag repair is a wonderful gem of a business in the core of downtown Vancouver! I had several pairs of designer leather boots that needed alterations in order to fit the way I wanted them to (I am very finicky with fashion because I have to make public appearances often in my profession), and they were the only ones who agreed to tackle the task, accepting the challenge while still disclosing potential risks with me to ensure my ultimate contentment. Such risks turned out to be unfounded, because Rio, who mans the Hornby branch, did an exceptional job at getting my boots to the most perfect state imaginable! Anyone who's ever written a poor review does not appreciate the value of hard work and masterful craftsmanship, which the family who owns this business clearly displays. I greatly admire their family's determination to pursue a tough business in this city, which often takes timeless hard work for granted. I could not be happier with their service and fine work ethic, and I highly recommend this shop (in all its branches) to anyone in need of a trust-worthy, honest shoe and bag repair service. Honest guy will tell you what he can and can’t fix. I got straps replaced on my high end bag that had torn up straps and it looks brand new again the only thing about it is It is expensive (over $100 for 2 straps) and i found the straps really tough if that makes sense. Instead of being a soft pliable leather they are Stiff but I hope that means it’ll last longer!

Rude and terrible customer service. Many reviews on yelp say the same, so I'm guessing this is just how he treats everyone. Found a new shoe repair place with friendly staff. It's a farther walk from my house but well worth the trek

Room service was terrible meals were incomplete staff was un friendly and the last day I was there the hot tub was luke warm .I was hoping it was going to be a lot more enjoyable. My neighbors room kept me up all night with loud partying for two of the nights unfortunately I won't be going back

We were in a situation where my wife urgently needed to repair three pairs of shoes (leather sole had to be covered with a layer of rubber). Kim's repair shop did the job the very next day. The work was done quality, fast. We strongly recommend to you this shop. Excellent quality and service, fast speed, reasonable price. Thank you, Kim
