Absolute Roof Solutions

I would be wary of hiring Absolute Roofing. We have a standard 3 foot by 4 foot skylight that had a drip at the top edge ( a problem with the roofing / flashing not the skylight). We agreed to pay $175 to arrange an estimate for this job. The company quoted us a figure of over $2700 for the repair. The work described involved removing the skylight and resealing with flashing and shingles. The estimate outlined the scope of the work but did not itemize the cost of the materials ( which are minimum as part of this budget) nor did it reveal the cost of the labor. When I inquired about how many hours of work were involved, it was suggested it would involve two workers providing one day of labour ( which translates into16 man hours of labour - which seems very generous). However, even if you accept that this job is going to take 8 hours to complete, the hour rate works out to $300 + per hour. This seems outrageous. Luckily, I found an independent roofer recommended by a friend. He found the source of the leak and sealed it up in about 30 minutes for the call out charge of $200.

Absolute Roof did a great job on replacing a flat roof. JP was involved from the beginning when he first inspected the roof, provided the information to make an informed decision, followed up on the work during the project, was responsive to any questions and concerns that came up, and ensured the finishing work was completed. I had this company replace my roof years ago. Each fall, my roof leaks. My floor is getting ruined, and the multiple leaks are disastrous. Gregory Scrimbit has come by to do nothing except tell me 'there's issues up there'. Do not hire this company! I'm a single mother with an adopted boy, who requires a great deal of my attention, not to mention my long work days at home. Beware of this company. The owner doesn't care. I'm preparing my lawsuit!

I had Garth and Carlos replace the chimney flashing and surrounding shingles yesterday and I am happy with their work, their professionalism and pleasant personality. I hope that the repair work they did will help stop future leak around the chimney base. I would be happy to recommend them and the company to anyone who needs to have roof repair work done in the future.

Excellent re-roofing of our residential house. We initially contacted Absolute Roof Solutions due to a leak in our ceiling. Greg and Carlos came within 1 day and quickly identified the leak in our cedar shake roof. They were great in trying to repair the leak and were very timely and they definitely knew what they were doing. The leak was repaired (although I think another leak appeared elsewhere), but given our cedar shake roof was nearing the end of its life, we knew that a new roof was needed. I worked with Pat from Sales in Absolute Roof solutions. He clearly explained the options for re-roofing and was honest and upfront with his assessment. I didn't feel pressured and felt we had good communication. Compared to other quotes I got from different companies, I went with Absolute Roofing solutions as it was easy and great working with Pat and their prices were competitive. When the re-roofing job began, a crew of 5 came everyday and got my entire house re-roofed within 4 days! They were very efficient, professional and knew what they were doing. I asked the crew some questions re: the roof and they were happy to answer my questions. The crew cleaned up everyday, protected all the skylights and there was no damage to the yard or lawn at all. At the end of the job, the crew did an excellent job cleaning up the debris and there was no debris left at all. The owner Doug Kerr came by for the final inspection. He clearly explained the longevity of the roof, how the job went and other things a homeowner should know. As well, he noted that a screw/bolt was not fully secured on one of the vents, so one of the crew members came back a few days after the job was done, got back on the roof and secured the screw/bolt. This illustrates that this company takes pride in their work and their quality of work is top notch. In the end, I am very happy to have Absolute Roof re-roof our house (so that I won't have to think about my roof for the next few decades). Not only are their prices competitive, but working with Greg, Carlos, Pat, Doug and the crew was easy. They did a great job, their quality of work is excellent, they were very efficient and stand by their work. I would highly recommend Absolute Roof for re-roofing or any roofing needs you may have, as they are a local company and provide good value for the high quality work they do.
