Valemount

We stopped briefly at Valemount Station on our VIA Rail trip from Vancouver to Jasper in July 2019. The town is very picturesque and surrounded by the snow peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Though the station is not very built-up but we could see nice hotels and eateries along the street, and they looked very inviting specially the 'Valemount Swiss Bakery'. We reached Jasper Station within about two hours ride from Valemount.

Just a brief stop on Valemount, I found the place beautiful.

This "station" is actually a concrete pad. Be prepared to wait more than 2 hours for frequently late trains.

I HATED IT.
