Skeena Animal Hospital's entire staff are very compassionate. Since moving to Terrace (@7 years ago). We were lucky to get into S.K.A. for our beloved dog Chance. Chance was 10 1/2 years old (our years) when he had his first appointment there. Chance and us felt very comfortable and happy 😃. Everyone was great and continued so,...... right up to May 26th 2017 💔😭 Chance was born May 26th 2000. He had Cancer and we rushed him to Terrace as safely and quickly as possible. We live 2 hours away. It seemed to take forever !! I'm mobility challenged and I'm home 24/7, minus every second Friday. So Chance was & still is my best friend. He even looked VERY similar to this one 🐕 💖 (small) 😊. When Bill, Amber and I found out at that appointment,..... that our BELOVED Chance had to be let go due to his suffering as soon as possible 😭💔. Of course we agreed SADLY due to seeing his body decline. As I cradled my boy, Dr.Sager explained everything to us with genuine empathy and left no question unanswered. So as I held my Chance, he fell asleep and went to Heaven 🙏 🙏 💔💔 on his 17th birthday. Very grateful for helping make the transition as easy as possible 🙏. He mentioned getting Chance cremated perhaps and us not thinking clearly, agreed 100 percent. We did, and I wear Chance in a necklace since & forever and a beautiful Oval Urn. Afterwards, (thru my years) I told Dr. Seger "I swear I'm never going to get another dog again ) !! Then miraculously, in July 2017, we went to the store and their kids brought me newborn puppies one by one to see. As I held the LAST puppy, (the 7th one).I swear to God 😇 when I touched it (not knowing boy or girl), I literally felt a small shock when we touched and I couldn't let Sassy (was girl) go. All 6 puppies were spoken for except Sassy🙏. Without ANY thought what so ever, I drove away with her to our home. I still can't explain to this day what I & Sassy felt. Of course we kept Skeena Vet and our baby girl Loves it there and the staff too. Of course Sassy is very healthy and happy. We will always be a loyal customer to Skeena Animal Hospital, their the best and VERY reasonably priced. I'm so very sorry for writing such a long review/comment, but I just wanted to convey clearly & honestly how Skeena Animal Hospital deals with their customers 😺,🐺🐕, ect. and their owners 💖. I was on a family trip to Terrace when my 13 year old husky fell ill. I knew she was not going to make it back home so we had to make the hard decision to put her to sleep. I was very grateful that they made time in their day to see her so that she did not have to suffer any longer. It was a very difficult time for my family and I am grateful for their compassion and patience.
