East Wellington Park

Great place to walk my dog on a rainy day. I know there big plans to "improve" this park but I like it this way best. In winter it floods, the ducks show up, and when it freezes, it's a wonderful outdoor skating spot. Not many of those in Nanaimo 😊

Nice place frequented by bears and cougars, lots of farm markets in the area , a new one starting up just across the street .

excellent off leash area for dogs.. Always lots of others dogs to see while walking. Hopefully the city proposed plan doesn't go ahead. Will turn into "just another small fenced area for dogs".
