Clean store. Friendly staff

Love this store! Always helpful staff. Good prices without any cards to keep track of! Fresh products are always fresh, whether meat, produce or dairy, etc. Great deli selection and take-out area. (I didn't notice about the in store eating tables, so not sure about dining in in the cafeteria) for those who cannot have dairy, they have a good selection of goat cheese in the deli area.

I want to love Country Grocer, they're my local, and boy have I given them a lot of chances. They're fairly well stocked, they have a lot of neat specialty items and a whole bunch of great deli things. However, there have been some drawbacks--they seem to be very well staffed and yet it's really hard to get any friendly assistance on the floor. The worst part, for me, however, is the pricing, especially that of the produce. I recognize there's an additional markup for the island, but I regularly pay at least a third more to shop at CG over Thrifty. Today I bought a cauliflower that didn't have a price sticker on it and it ended up costing over $9. The BC clamshell tomatoes were actually leaking green slime, they were so mouldy, and they were still selling for $5. I just think I'm gonna have to give it a miss from now on except for quick errands.
