The train station is currently under renovations and, unfortunately, no one taught the construction guy and not even the managers, that if you are having a little construction meeting, it is only polite not to do it right in front of the doors where people trying to drag their suitcases are walking. Once complete,I’m sure it will be beautiful.

The Halifax Via Rail terminal is a very beautiful building. However, a tourist information point is clearly missing here. If you come to Halifax the first time, you feel somewhat stranded there.

Travel by train...it's definitely the way to go. My train was very late but it just doesn't seem to matter. It's a completely different vibe:) My thanks to all of the VIA people for the great work you do.

Northern rail trains are ok if your going to main station at halifax we got a first great western as a grand central and it called at brighouse mirfield wakefieldkirkgate doncaster and london Kings cross and we got the same first great western train coming back.
