It's a parking. Ignore the 90 minutes signs, literally never saw anyone take a ticket from the machine or get towed.
This parking lot is unlike anything I've seen in Montreal, and not in a good way. Large signs demand you place a "free parking ticket" on your windshield or else your car will be towed. Not only are the tickets only valid for 90 minutes, but the ticket machine is very worn down and difficult to spot.
Perhaps the owner is trying to prevent merchants of the nearby Atwater market from parking their merchandise here. In any case, this ticket policy is a major hassle to consumers and very unwelcoming.
This isn’t even a parking lot that you can pay to park in. It has a bunch of signs indicating that it’s 90 minutes only or else you will get towed. Drove here only to have to find another parking spot.
