COVID-19 SAFE! They don't play around with the protocols to prevent the virus spread. Their service was phenomenal and the ride on board is super relaxing. The seats are properly marked to space out the passengers. There are handsanitizers all over the vessels. The crew is super nice. I strongly recommend any tourist to use them when traveling to Playa Tambor and the other beaches nearby. Two thumbs up!

Fast service, you can order tickets online. The service on board is good, cold beers and snacks.

Really straightforward. 810 CRC for a foot passenger - very decent value. You can get beer/food/drinks on board and there are toilets. Few decent value soda restaurants near to the ferry terminal in Puntarenas. Slightly less organised on the Paquera side but still easy. If travelling by bus, it's SUPER easy when you get off in Paquera. You walk down the (only exit) and the bus to Cobano is right in front of you when you leave. Bus leaves 20 mins or so after the ferry has arrived into Paquera so you have plenty of time to get it.

great ferry, but read this to understand the ticketing process: park in the line of cars starting at the dock and running west along the waterfront ( a guy with a signboard will direct you to do this) then wait for the ‘security’ guy to come and give you a yellow pre-ticket. take this pre-ticket to the ticket booth at the corner near the dock and buy your actual ticket (slip of white paper) which you will give to the crew as you drive onto the ferry. If you have someone else with you have them go fetch the actual ticket while you stay with the car (especially if they are actively loading) since they may move you into the holding area and you don’t want to lose your place in line, you can move from the first line to the holding area without your final ticket f your partner is still fetching the actual ticket, and then give them the final ticket as you board. hope that makes sense!

Stole my money! I bought a ticket through their online system for a ferry that I could not arrive to because the road was closed for scheduled parade. The ferry company knew the road would be closed but still had the ticket available for sale, and obviously my car couldn't get through. When I asked for a refund or a new ticket, they refused. Just because you buy a ticket doesn't mean that you will be able to use it. Be carefull!!!
