Linda Vista Lodge Chachagua

We stayed here in November and were their first guest. We spent three weeks in Costa Rica and wished we stayed here for a lot more than three days. Wonderful hosts,spectacular views and wildlife from the welcoming back deck. Definitely a experience we will never forget!

This is far and away the best experience I have ever had when it comes to travel accommodations. This home is absolutely beautiful, sitting up on the top of a hill looking over incredible mountains and a beautiful river (on the property!). The wildlife (beautiful birds, toucans, frogs, others!) are always right in front of you, and you're away from all the tourist bustle of La Fortuna. Every morning I woke up to the sound of birds, fresh fruit, eggs from chickens on the property, and the peaceful background noise of the river. And to top all of that off, it's a very easy 15 minute drive to everything going on in La Fortuna! There is a small restaurant and grocery store just a 1-2 km away also, which is great for little things you may want to pick up. But as perfect as this home and location is...it does not come close to how incredible the host family is. This was the most authentic travel experience I have had in any country I've visited. Ana and the whole family make sure first and foremost that you have everything you need, and also that you have ample privacy whenever you desire. Even while being cognizant of that, they really made me feel like I was part of their family. They included me in meals, brought fresh food (grown at the home!) over regularly, gave me a tour (a long tour!) of the whole property, and shared stories from their past and ideas for their future. My Spanish is weak at best, and we were able to have wonderful conversations. It's truly a relationship I hope to keep for years to come. I fully plan on returning one day, of all the places I stayed in Costa Rica (and all my other travels) this is certainly the most memorable and the one I would recommend the most to others. I am confident you will not find a better place to stay when visiting the Arenal/La Fortuna area.

Perfect place to stay

A beautiful place, unbeatable service, clean rooms as they appear in the photograph, the reception without walls, gardens with their small fruit trees, all well labeled, I liked everything about the site, highly recommended the resort, thank you Durán family for such a warm welcome.

Without a doubt, it was a great choice to book on this site, I found it on Facebook, I saw the photos and I fell in love immediately, I called and booked two nights with Doña Ana by phone, in the morning I decided to do the organic farm tour in the small garden of the site, during the day I visited the natural pool with spring water in the river of the property and it was refreshing, Bryan the guide was very professional, every morning I woke up to the sound of birds, toucans, tangaras and local bird species, comfortable room, air-conditioned but definitely don't need it as the breeze from the Children's Eternal Forest Reserve blows up to the property and it's always cool and pleasant the weather, the garden and common areas beautiful and clean , you can eat fruits directly from the small trees that grow in the garden, I plan to return again for my birthday in November of next year, thank you for the friendly reception on the day of arrival, thank you for receiving So warmly to me, thanks for the '' Late Checkout ", I am sorry I did not have more time to visit the town and the town.
