This lovely still kind of old fashion little town is so unique. It's evolved into a town that wad based on farming and coffee ☕ growing. People are helpful, friendly, supportive and have a strong sense of community. I am proud to day I am Atenensia!!!!

Lived here for a few years. For visitors, it has all the amenities needed for your basic weekend tour and is also in a somewhat Centerpoint from other popular tourist spots. 20 min drive from the airport without traffic. 25 to 30 min drive from escazu and shopping areas. 1 hour from the beach. Small town (in my opinion thats a good thing), but caters to the needs of just about anybody. Most of the people here are expats or natives to the area, each sharing that ideal of Atenas as their "home". Great little town, recommended for both short and long stays.
