A place where you can talk to God. (Sunday services at 10.30) there are restrictions on the number of people present (kovid-19)

To the north-east of Glavachkovo Square is a medieval barefoot Carmelite monastery. The road to the monastery runs through a small shady square with statues of Catholic saints. The construction of the monastery itself began back in 1655 and was completed in 1662. Where the monastery itself is now located, the Holy Trinity cemetery church, which was founded in 1581, was previously located. During the devastating Thirty Years War, the temple was badly damaged and, in fact, restoration work was marked by the birth of a monastery charter here. It should be noted that the monastery originally belonged to the Franciscan Order. The heart of the monastery itself is the Loreto Chapel with the statue of the Black Mother of God. The chapel was built by Count Bernard Ignac of Martinique after returning from a pilgrimage to Loreto in 1657. Its walls are decorated with a cycle of scenes from the life of the Virgin Mary. Until 1950, the monastery belonged to the Franciscans. With the coming to power of the Communists, the monastery was closed, and the monks were evicted. From 1950 to 1989, various institutions were located here. During this period, storage rooms were arranged within the walls of the monastery, and then the Swazarm driving school was based. In 1992, the territory was returned in very poor technical condition to the Franciscans, who in 1995 transferred the monastery to barefoot Carmelites. Since 1996, a small community of barefoot Carmelites has already been located here. It was they who began the extensive reconstruction of the monastery, which continues to this day. Today, six monks live in the monastery, three of which are priests. At the monastery there is a small shop where, in addition to religious paraphernalia, you can buy delicious jams that are made by the brothers in the monastery.
