A beautiful and mystical place. You are walking along the wall down on one side and on the other side the ramparts of the former Hradiste are probably partially preserved. Suddenly, a beautiful area with an early Gothic Church of St. George and the Belfry appears in front of you. Information boards map the history of the place and the current day in detail. We were there in the early evening and the sun was already setting and it was beautiful. I recommend to all visitors.

The famous Libušín, then Hradiště, is only reminiscent of the church of St. George with the adjacent cemetery. Unfortunately, there is no decoration in the church, because in the past it was the target of vandals and thieves. The ramparts are noticeable when they arrive from the Libušín Mine. In the vicinity there is an educational trail that will take you through the defunct Hradiště, where excavations were carried out, where there is a well, where are the defensive ramparts. The trail is good to walk in good weather and is not suitable for a stroller. There is a wooden bell tower by the church.

Relatively well-preserved fortified settlement with several strips of ramparts, part of which is unfortunately damaged by the adjacent mine. Not far from the acropolis, where today is the church of St. Jiří with a bell tower, the original access road begins, still partially preserved to this day, with nice views of Libušín and Vinařická hora.

You walk along a snowy narrow path and more than once a sunny plateau with a 13th century church and preserved defensive ramparts opens up in front of you. Wonderful and soothing place. Easily accessible.

Libušín is a former mining town a few kilometers from Kladno. It lies in a valley that begins here and continues in the direction of Slaný. Directly in Libušín, it is definitely worth mentioning the town hall building with a post office on the ground floor and the neo-Gothic church of St. Procopius from 1908. The most famous of the surroundings is probably the Gothic church of St. George with a wooden bell tower, which was later renovated. In addition, this church is situated in the early medieval Přemyslid fort. But don't rejoice - only the ruins of the ramparts around it remain. Unfortunately, the church was looted many times in the recent past, and so the original paintings, the gilded parts of the altar and the bell gradually disappeared. Every year on St. George, a pilgrimage (or a hike?) From Libušín takes place here. Every last Saturday of the month at 14 °° it is possible to take a guided tour of the area (but we didn't make it, so I don't know if it really works). An easy walking trip from Libušín along the yellow road (from the town hall) and then along the green tourist sign is worth it (approx. 2 km / 45 min. Way there). Or you can take a hike to Libušín Lake (there is no tourist sign, but the locals will definitely advise). The way there is from the square again to about 45 minutes / 2km. The lake is maintained by the association, so the surroundings are cleaned, the lake can be bypassed in less than half an hour (nothing difficult) or take a bath here in summer. When the frost strikes, you can skate here, or the harder ones can try to harden their bodies in icy water.
