One of the oldest preserved residential houses in the city in the immediate vicinity of the synagogue now serves as a gallery and cafe. Samson's house is the best preserved Renaissance residential building in Rakovník. It got its name from the owners - an important Samson family that lived here in the 16th and 17th centuries. Beautiful Renaissance sgraffito with scenes from the life of the biblical Samson are sensitively reconstructed. One of the oldest surviving residential houses in Rakovník in the immediate vicinity of the synagogue serves as a gallery and café today. Samson House is the best preserved Renaissance residential building in Rakovnik. It was named after the owners - a significant family of Samsons who lived here in the 16th and 17th centuries. Check the wonderful sgraffitis.
