For more than three centuries in Bělá it has been told that a secret passage leads from the cellar of this house to the castle Bezděz. Today is said to be buried in several places, the entrance is walled up. The legend was used by Eliška Krásnohorská when writing a libretto for Bedřich Smetana, an opera known as "The Secret" ... It also resembles a plaque on the house.
