Budget

I never had a problem with Budget - they were always my go to guys for rental, ehy the name BUDGET says it all. Affordable and easy. As of this summer, peak rates have gone up 150% !!!! and regular rates are now TWICE!! You people are absolutely mad

Used it because of the city center location but never again. Without exception really rude and unhelpful staff, old, high-mileage fleet of cars with a lot of scratches and dents, you will never get what you book - always a Skoda, twisted number plates etc. on pickup! Horrible service.

Not too bad, the car came with low coolant, I topped it up as I had a long journey and they were happy to reimburse me for the cost. Had no issues with them at all. You do need to make sure you fill the tank before returning, as the price can be quite high if you don't.

The car was fine, however the staff were not very helpful to us on our arrival. The staff member processing our booking did not offer any information, help, directions or ask us anything about our booking. He did not ask if we needed anything explaining, or if we needed to be shown anything about the car. I understand that we only speak English, so it might have been difficult for him with a language barrier to overcome; however he literally did not assist us with anything other than inputting (incorrect) information into their database. Not even a "hello, how are you today". He was so devoid of any attention to detail that he wrote the completely wrong name down against our hire agreement. His directions to the car pick-up were quite vague but fortunately it was well signposted. During the hire we tried calling the Budget office on the number provided, but the phone was never answered. Luckily we just wanted to query the drop off location for the car, and not needing any roadside assistance or break-down support. When dropping the car back to the airport (after filling up with fuel at the nearest gas station which is a few kilometers away) the attendant made a fuss that the car was not being returned with a full fuel tank. Unfortunately we did not bring our spare jerry cans of fuel to top up that little bit of fuel we used driving between the petrol station and the airport. We will wait and see if we are charged an exorbitant amount for that 1/2 litre of fuel and update the review accordingly.
