Studniční domek Světlička

Hundreds of years old part of the water supply system and again the present work of a graffiti.

This inconspicuous building is a prime example of an important technical monument, which unfortunately somewhat escapes the general consciousness, even though it played an important role in the past. The Světluška - Světlička well house is part of the water supply system, which was originally established during the reign of Emperor Rudolf II in 1603 to supply drinking water to Prague Castle. There is no documented authorship of the entrance building to the gallery. Because it was created during the work of Josip Plečnik at the Castle, there was speculation about its authorship, typical Plečnik motifs speak for it - cornices, round windows, gray masonry.
