My son was given Chlorprothixene on an autism spectrum without an EEG and without mentioning it to me (they had no legal obligation, the mother signed her consent, according to which she "caroled") and of course without consulting a neurologist or expert on autism. "I think the hysterical Asperger's" was a message that my son later played to me as a magnet. The sad fact of today's psychiatry is that although psychiatrists medicate autism, they usually do not understand it because it is not their field.
