Rudná lies on the line 173 Praha-Smíchov - Rudná near Prague - Nučice - Beroun (transport from Prague started in 1873, then to Beroun in 1897), where the track 122 Praha-Smíchov - Hostivice - Rudná near Prague leads from here to the north (traffic started in 1873). Both of these lines are monorail and are part of the national railway. The line 173 is 34 km long and it takes about an hour to get there. The station Rudná u Prahy is equipped with an IDS ticket marker, at the time of my visit the station building was closed and did not provide any services. Station quaint in that. that two railway lines lead to it from the center of the capital city of Prague, but each comes from a different direction! One leads through Řeporyje and the other through Hostivice. In September 2019 the whole station (in the sense of the building) under reconstruction. It is not even possible to buy train tickets here !!!! And apparently not a single worker obviously worked on the scaffolding or NEVER inside !!! And it was a weekday, normal "working hours"! Strange reconstruction ... MICHAL STEIN

Nice new station, electronic information signs .. There is also a large parking for cars. Departures to Smíchov and Ruzyně. I like. Food (on the way) is 2min. on foot.
