Christian Doppler house

This is a commemorative plaque to mark the house where Christian Doppler stayed between 1843 and 1847. The house is a private house and there’s nothing there concerning the physicist. The plaque is made of bronze and has a relief sculpture of Doppler in portraiture. And engraved with words related to his stay in Prague. It’s certainly not a must-see, nor even if visiting the Old Jewish Quarter. I did physics and fully appreciate the work he did, along with Hippolyte Fizeau on our understanding of the Doppler Shift, especially on astronomy. Plus one just because I love physics.

Always nice to discover, the house of Christiaan Doppler (you know of the Doppler effect, and more) who lived here for a while and worked as an assistant professor of higher mathematics at the technical institute.

Um, well, we actually only got it because we were in the Irish Pub opposite and stopped city guides there every 10 minutes. It is a house with a plaque on it that Christian Doppler lived here. You could actually make such a board on every house, so nothing special !!
