Řadový dům Jany a Karla Teigových

The row house was built in the garden district of Malvazinky in 1937-1938 for Karel Teige and his sister Jan. The house was designed by architect Jan Gillar and reflected the opinions of the creative personality of Czech avant-garde Karel Teige, one of the promoters of the so-called KOLDOM. The two-storey terraced house inhabited by Karel Teige and his companion, each had his own studio on the first floor, Teige did not recognize marriage, and also rejected individual housing. On the second floor, sister Jana lived with her mother, on the ground floor there were two rental flats and a condominium in the basement.
