Jára Cimrman invented the lookout tower at night from the fifteenth to the sixteenth of August, 1907, during the celebration of the birth of the blacksmith Bíma's son in the Pod jedlí inn. As early as the morning of August 16, when he woke up after the celebration, his ingenious brain, despite a severe headache, realized that the lookout towers had existed for a long time and even visited several of them himself. Nevertheless, he did not give up and decided to at least improve them. According to Cimrman, lookout towers support the creative spirit and the view from above gives people perspective. Their main disadvantage is that they are visible from everywhere and are therefore visited by many people, which disturbs creative people. So he recommended building a lookout tower that would not be visible from anywhere. The well-hidden lookout tower of Jára Cimrman meets this criterion and has been technically solved so that it does not exceed the surrounding trees, so it is practically invisible. Unfortunately, Cimrman did not manage to solve the fact that it is not visible at all from a lookout tower that is not visible at all. Note that you really only literally see everywhere the spruce cones you can almost touch. It only spoils the eastern side, where you can unfortunately see the town of Březová nad Svitavou. We can say with pleasure that even this small defect - otherwise a perfect lookout tower - is being worked on, so far the solution is to either board this side completely, which, according to some experts, does not solve the fact that the lookout tower from Březová can be seen. This side therefore advocates a simpler solution, and that is a simple increase of the already existing noise barrier along the railway line between Prague and Brno. About twenty to fifty meters. In a safe length of two to three kilometers, because Březová is a typical sprawling town along the road. Devenlopers are interested in the lookout tower and a project has emerged that could serve an equivalent experience as the Treetop Trail and could serve as the beginning of the "Elevated Path Through the Forest". We hope that this will not happen and that Cimrman's well-hidden lookout tower will hide even more. For the best experience, we recommend visiting the lookout tower at night or in the thick fog, when you will probably not be disturbed. We even visited the lookout tower twice: on the anniversary of the invention, when I took this picture, and then again at night, when we could not find it.

A very nice lookout tower to which the path leads through the forest, although it is uphill, but before climbing the lookout tower you will meet a rope center which is completely free and so you can try your own physicist 😁 The lookout tower is well hidden and has a beautiful view of the surroundings. a visit! The path is lined by a cross-country track, so you can ride your way back by bike and enjoy a little adrenaline, the track will surely excite you.
