Usually enough bulkheads are open so that they can check in quickly in addition to peaks (when longer queues are formed). A desk with chairs, sometimes with an erotic ballpoint, is available for printing forms. However, to get the form / delivery note must be directly to the counter, which if the queue is not a good solution. The individual counters are clearly marked, the customer knows where to go. Service mostly pleasant, helpful, nice, rarely disgusting.

There is no ticket system in place, as elsewhere, so you will normally join the queue if it is. In general, I have experience with relatively fast check-in. The advantage is that there is a florist in the post office (buy flowers, friends), next to the post office is a Billa market and across the street Lidl, if you visit it.
