Originally, there were two fountains in the square with statues of Amphitrite and Neptune. Their author was the sculptor Jan Sucharda from Novopacky. To this day, only the fountain with the statue of Amphitrite has been preserved, the fountain with the statue of Neptune was abolished in 1894. The fountain was repaired twice in the past, first in 1974 and then in 1990. At that time, the plumbing was replaced, the fountain was painted and the statue was cleaned by the Secondary Industrial School in Hořice.
