Nová Paka

The Nová Paka railway station is located on line no. 040 Trutnov hl.n. - Chlumec nad Cidlinou. In 1871, the Austrian Northwestern Railway (ÖNWB) completed its branch line continuing in the direction from Chlumec nad Cidlinou and Ostroměř to Stará Paka, Martinice v Krkonoších and Trutnov, and regular operation on the line began on 1 June. The author of the universalized design of the stations for the entire track was the architect Carl Schlimp. The route was the result of efforts to connect the ÖNWB railway network in a north-easterly direction to the border with Prussia. After the nationalization of all private companies in Austria-Hungary in 1908, the station was operated by one company, the Imperial-Royal State Railways (kkStB), and after 1918 the Czechoslovak State Railways took over the administration.

Children are always tempted to ride and see historic trains, the same goes for adults who used to run these trains, but simply nostalgia. The Legio train was in Nová Paka for the first time this year. During the year, it was on 11 May in ŽST Kolín and on 29 August 2017, this train was exhibited in Košice on the main square. Every year at this time there are Midsummer Celebrations and steam trains run here. The joy of children riding a train knows no bounds. It's a pity that the weather was rainy this year, but even so, the rain didn't spoil the children's mood.

Inside there is nowhere to sit, the operator at the cash desk is almost never. It has already happened to me that I missed the train due to the absence of the operator.
